Happy New Year!

I rang in 2012 sleeping on the couch with my beautiful daughter laying on my chest, and I wouldn't have started the year any other way. Tonight Derrick and I will celebrate with friends playing board games and enjoying some drinks. 2011 was a year with many struggles, I hope 2012 proves to be much more relaxing.

Christmas has come and gone and I haven't even had a chance to blog about my awesome present Derrick gave me! I got a big box of stuff from Japan including 25 packs of bath salt.... I'm in bathing heaven. I also received cooking spice, buttery potato sticks, hirigana practice paper, a really neat bilingual book about Japanese culture, and some Japanese coffee.  ( pictures to come soon!)

Speaking of Japan I saw on the news they suffered another earthquake today but from what I last read there had been no injuries or damage. Japan is definitely in my thoughts today and I'm hoping they have a much less quaky year ahead.

I plan on spending the rest of my New Year's day cleaning so my sister who is babysitting tonight can do so in a clean house. This is also my New Years resolution, to keep my house cleaned and organized.... we will see how this goes. Any one else have any resolutions?
